Guadeloupe is an island state in the Caribbean Sea. The dwarf state has a total area of only 1,628 km2. This land area is about 1.8 times the size of Berlin. Thus, Guadeloupe is the 23rd smallest country in America and ranks 183rd in the world.
In addition to the two main islands, the country includes 10 other small islands. Guadeloupe does not have directly adjacent neighboring countries. The distance between Berlin and the capital Basse Terre is about 7610 km.
