Florence is history, tradition, culture and art. The main city of Tuscany (toscano) is marked, as Stendhal wrote, with "delicate beauty", it preserves the historical and artistic heritage, famous all over the world, and its historical center is a living archive of Italian and European culture; it is for this reason that Florence was one of the first sites to be included (already in 1982) on the World Heritage List.
