Geography Located 17 km south of the border with Germany, west of the city of Karlovy Vary. The area is 14.25 km². History The first written mention of Chodov dates back to 1195. The city has a long tradition of porcelain production. Before World War II, the majority of the population were Germans, who were subsequently deported. In the 1960s, a large chemical plant was built 4 km from Chodov. The main attraction of the city can be considered the church of St. Lawrence.
